Carbon Footprint of Parks – a request for information
Carbon Footprint of Parks - a request for information
A message from Mark Evison – Park Manager, Alexandra Park
I know this is a bit out of the blue, but I’m working on a project and would like to reach out to the membership of the PMA.
I’m undertaking a research project on the climate change impacts of Alexandra Park, something which is definitely attracting more interest.
In particular, I’m trying to quantifying three aspects:
- the carbon footprint of maintenance and operations
- the amount of carbon stored in the Park
- the rate of carbon sequestration (if any)
I’d love to hear from anyone who has undertaken a similar exercise or knows of any case studies. Of course, I’m happy to discuss and happy to share my findings.
Are you happy to put this request in the next mail-shot to the members? Let me know if you’d like to discuss further or would any more information.
I look forward to hearing from you.
